Step 1: Your Private Consultation
Everything begins with a conversation in our Collins Street boutique. You’ll sit down with Silvana or Daniela — not a sales assistant, but the second-generation owners of a family business built on 58 years of trust — in a relaxed, private environment on the 9th floor of the Manchester Unity Building, away from the bustle of street-level retail.
This first meeting is about understanding. We’ll talk through her style preferences, look at inspiration images, discuss metals and diamond shapes, and get a real sense of what the ring needs to feel like. Whether you’re coming in together or planning a surprise proposal, we’ll tailor the consultation to suit your situation.
There’s no pressure and no time limit. Take as long as you need.
Step 2: Design Development and Diamond Selection
With a clear brief in hand, we develop the ring design using CAD (Computer-Aided Design), creating a detailed visual rendering so you can see exactly how the finished ring will look before a single piece of metal is touched. We’ll refine the design through as many rounds as needed until it feels exactly right.
Diamond and gemstone selection happens at this stage too. We offer GIA certified diamonds — both natural mined and lab-grown — in a full range of shapes: round brilliant, oval, cushion, princess, emerald, pear, marquise, and more. We’ll guide you through the 4Cs (cut, colour, clarity, and carat) in plain language, helping you find the stone that offers the best balance of quality and value for your budget.
For those drawn to something beyond diamonds, we also source fine sapphires, emeralds, rubies, and other precious gemstones for centre stones — a beautiful and increasingly popular choice for women who want something distinctive.
Step 3: Handcrafted In-House by Our Master Jeweller
Once the design and stone are approved, your ring is handcrafted in our on-site workshop by our master jeweller, who has dedicated more than 25 years of his career to fine jewellery creation. Nothing is sent to an external casting house or overseas manufacturer — your ring is made here, by expert hands, with full quality control at every stage.
This in-house capability also means we can accommodate genuinely complex designs — asymmetric settings, unusual diamond shapes, intricate band detailing — that other jewellers may not be equipped to execute.
Step 4: The Moment She Sees It
When the ring is ready, you’ll come in for the final collection. If you’re planning a surprise proposal, we’ll make sure the experience feels special from the moment you pick it up. If you’ve been designing together, the final reveal is a moment we’re always honoured to be part of.

Most custom engagement rings are completed within four to six weeks from the point of design approval and stone selection. We recommend allowing at least eight weeks if you have a specific proposal date in mind, to allow time for the creation process, any refinements, and final fitting.
Can I be involved in the design process if I want it to be a surprise?
Absolutely. Many clients design the ring themselves with guidance from Silvana or Daniela, without their partner present. We’re experienced at working this way and will help you capture her style and preferences based on what you already know about her. We can also design a beautiful placeholder ring for the proposal if you’d prefer to choose the final design together after she says yes.
